My Favorite Juice Fasting Recipes: Juice fasting is gaining popularity worldwide as a swift and easy method of holistic detoxification. The accumulated toxins are efficiently eliminated by various body functions, once you free up your system from the tasks of digesting solid foods.

Juice fasting works really well for increasing energy and better health overall. As long as you have a good juicer machine – all you need is some vegetables and fruits to juice and some good juice fasting recipes!

 

Recipes for Juice Fasting

 

If you have never done a juice fast before, then take it easy and do not overdo things! Just do one day at a time to start of with. It is a major adjustment for your body and you do not want your detoxing to go to fast and make yourself feel really crappy.

Once you have a full day fast under you belt then wait a few days and complete another day.

If all goes well, then you can look at increasing the time you do a juice fast for.It is a good idea to get yourself some professional advice as to your health status prior to fasting.

And if doing long fasts then you should ALWAYS make sure you are being monitored by a professional.

It is also, in my opinion, better to stick with vegetables when fasting. Fruits contain a high amount of fructose, which are natural sugars. They are good to add a touch of sweetness, but you don’t need a sugar high when fasting.

And also, too much may cause problems if you are diabetic – you would need to make sure you are being closely monitored when fasting anyway.

The purists also recommend not mixing fruit and vegetables together, but I have always mixed them. Taste is everything to me – and if it doesn’t taste yummy, then it won’t get drunk!

Down below I have listed a few juice fasting recipes that are very good for cleansing and detoxing. However, this is not at all a definitive list and there are really no best juices for fasting.

My best suggestion is to always choose a wide range of colors – thus giving your body the widest range of nutrients possible. Then check out these favorite juice fasting recipes below.

Favorite Juice Fasting Recipes – Suggestions:

 

Vegetable Juice Fast Combo:
  • 2 Spinach leaves
  • 1/2 beetroot
  • 2 or 3 sprigs of watercress
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 celery stalk
Carrot And Dandelion Juice:
  • 4 carrots
  • 2 Spinach leaves
  • A handful of dandelion leaves
  • Fresh mint, basil or coriander leaves to taste
Carrot and Celery Juice:
  • 4 Carrots
  • 2 sticks of celery
  • half of a lemon
Carrot and Parsley Juice:
  • 4 carrots
  • 1 cup Parsley
  • 1 apple
Carrot and Lemon Juice:
  • 4 carrots
  • 1/2 medium lemon
  • 1 apple
  • 1 piece of Ginger
Carrot And Cabbage Juice:
  • 2 cups cabbage leaves
  • 3 Carrots
  • 1 small beet
Carrot And Apple Juice:
  • 3 Carrots
  • 2 Green apples
  • Fresh basil leaves to taste
Apple and Cucumber:
  • 4 carrots
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • ginger to taste
Carrot And Dandelion Juice:
  • A handful of dandelion leaves
  • 2 Spinach leaves
  • 4 carrots
  • Fresh mint, basil or coriander leaves to taste
Blood Cleanser :
  • 1 small Beet
  • 1/2 cup of dandelion leaves
  • 1/2 cup of parsley
  • 2 red apples
  • half of a lemon

 

A note on cabbage juice: Cabbage juice is actually surprisingly sweet and it is one of my favorites. I HATE cooked cabbage, so I did not think it would be very nice juiced. But I was pleasantly surprised when I first tried it.
