Is lemon juice good for you? You bet! Lemon is regarded as one of the “super foods”. It is a great fruit for detoxing and for stimulating the digestive system. You can find a lemon juice diet recipe in most weigh loss plans as it is often one of the most common and beneficial ingredients for dieting.

One really simple general “good health” health tip is to drink the juice of half a lemon diluted in a little warm water, upon rising each day. Especially on an empty tummy, this is a refreshing, stimulating and cleansing drink and a great way to kick off your day.

How to juice a lemon:

Just squeeze it! But first it is a good idea to roll it around on your counter top – while pressing down on it. This will break down the inside of the lemon a little and make the juice much easier to extract from the flesh.

Then, slice your lemon in half and use your hands to squish the two sides together, while holding the lemon over a container. Then you can hold the lemon half in the palm of your hand and run a fork or dessert spoon around the inside of the rind – to extract every last drop you can.

You can also buy very inexpensive manual or electric citrus juicers to make it easier on your hands, if you will be juicing a lot of citrus. The electric citrus juicers make it very fast and simple to create incredibly healthful juice drinks for a large family at breakfast time – to make sure they all start the day off well.

Light And Bright:

  • 1/3 head of white cabbage
  • half a medium pineapple
  • small piece of ginger
  • half of a lemon
  • 1 small bunch of fresh mint

Yummy Carrot Lemonade:

  • 4-5 medium carrots
  • 1/2 medium lemon
  • 1 apple
  • 1 small 1.5 – 2 ” wedge red cabbage
  • 1 piece of Ginger

Arthritis Blend:

  • 4 Carrots
  • 2 sticks of celery
  • 1/2 a Pineapple 3
  • half of a lemon

Blood Pressure Juice Blend:

  • 4 Carrots
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 oranges

Blood Cleanser Juice Blend:

  • 1/2 small Beet
  • 1/2 cup of dandelion,
  • 1/2 cup of parsley
  • 2 red apples
  • half of a lemon

Bronchitis Juice Blend:

  • 3 Carrots
  • 1/2 cup of grapes
  • 1/2 cup of leek
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 oranges

Cold, Fever and Flu Juice Blend:

  • Carrot 4oz
  • Orange 4 oz
  • Lemon 1oz
  • 4 cloves of garlic

Diabetes Juice Blend:

  • 1 small beet
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 lemon

Detox Mix No 1:

  • 4 cups of watermelon
  • One lemon
  • piece of ginger

Detox Mix No 2:

  • One medium beet
  • 4 carrots
  • 1/2 cup of celery
  • half of a lemon
  • ginger to taste
